Recall Program

The Recall Program is to effectively manage potential emergency situations or incidents concerning a faulty product where there is a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to said product will have an impact on food safety, legality or quality and also has the potential to cause adverse health consequences, injury and or death if consumed. Voluntary or involuntary removal of a product from the market due to contamination, adulteration or misbranding, in violation of the law constitutes a Recall. (21 CFR 7.3 g) The Recall Program will provide the frame work for effectively and expediently determining the logistics of all products believed to be, or known to be deficient. The Recall Program will delegate the order of command structure that is beyond our ordinary Management Structure. Recalls fall into one of the several classifications that describe the extent of a product safety threat or label misbranding. A system of classifying the severity of a situation has been established.  The purpose of classification is to determine what level of a Recall to issue and the speed at which 100% of the product will be located and retrieved.
